The STX putter has been around since the 1970s, despite the fact that it may not be as well-known as Odyssey or TaylorMade. Originally known for their lacrosse sticks, STX now only produces putters for golf.

But how good are these putters in reality? PGA Professional James Melcer investigates in this piece.

Fans of putters may be familiar with the unique and unusual design of the STX Sync Tour putter (seen here), which Jesper Parnevik and Seve Ballesteros both used. Using one of these rubber-faced putters, which were popular at the time, Rich Beem won the 2002 PGA Championships.
